Description

The MSM855 is a member of the very successful PC/104+ family from

Digital-Logic AG. This product, in conjunction with the SM855, is a high

performance computer. With a 1.4GHz Pentium-M processor (SM855-

P738) the MSM855 possesses performance specifications similar to a

2.8GHz Pentium-4 motherboard.

The memory can be expanded up to 1024MB with a 333MHz DDR-

SODIMM module. The integrated video controller can control two inde-

pendent displays (CRT or LVDS/DVI). The graphic controller is compatible

up to Direct-X9.0. This product includes 5x USB 2.0 ports allowing for

multiple connectivity options. For multimedia applications, the 5.1 sound

provides six output channels and two input channels.

The ISA Bus is generated from a PCI-ISA-bridge (B, B2 versions only), or

an ITE8888 LPC Bridge Chip to provide an expansion bus for PC/104

interface Cards. Over the PC/104-Plus connector, up to four cards can be

connected (three for B versions).

The CPU has very low typical power consumption and uses Intel Speed-

Step® to help minimize the current consumption (Pentium-M only). The

BIOS allows boot from all available medias.
