UMFT231XC - Battery Charging Detection (BCD)

•

Development board provides for USB to

UART bridge functionality as well as battery

charging detection (BCD), and battery

charging via LTC4053.

− FT231X device supports BCD to simplify

and optimize battery charging in portable

systems.

•

Detects Dedicated Charging Port

(DCP) or Standard Downstream Port

(SDP,) enabling selection of higher

battery charging current, 1.8A or .5A.

•

CBUS pins enable control of

charging rate.

•

Complete sleep and suspend

capabilities.
