This was done by a correct design of the magnetizing current, output inductor current ripple and choice of turns ratio. Figure 4. Detailed AHB zero-voltage switching at full load The ZVS condition is harder to meet as the load increases, so full load is the worst condition to have for a correct ZVS operation. In Figure 5 the same waveforms are shown with half load. Since the output current is reduced, the fast primary side current variations are also reduced and so the magnetizing current (that remains basically the same if the load changes) becomes proportionally higher.
