equivalentseriesresistance(ESR)andthepowerdissipation
capabilitiesofthedevice.PermissibleACripplevoltage
whichmaybeappliedislimitedbytwocriteria:
1.ThepositivepeakACvoltageplustheDCbiasvoltage,
ifany,mustnotexceedtheDCvoltageratingofthe
capacitor.
2.ThenegativepeakACvoltageincombinationwith
biasvoltage,ifany,mustnotexceedtheallowablelimits
specifiedforreversevoltage.SeetheReverseVoltage
sectionforallowablelimits.
Themaximumpowerdissipationbycasesizecanbe
determinedusingthetableatright.Themaximumpower
dissipationratingstatedinthetablemustbereduced
withincreasingenvironmentaloperatingtemperatures.
Refertothetablebelowfortemperaturecompensation
requirements.
