Inthiscase,theLEDisnormallyon,andisoffwhenthe
thermalelementopens.
Application Example 2
Thiscircuitutilizesanoptocouplertoprovide
galvanicisolationsbetweentheiTMOV®varistor
andtheindicatingoralarmcircuitry.
Application Example 3
Thiscircuitillustratestheuseofthemonitoringleadof
theiTMOV®varistortoensurethatequipmentisonly
operatedwhenovervoltageprotectionpresent.Innormal
operationtheloadswitchrelaysolenoidispoweredviathe
indicatorleadoftheiTMOV®varistor.Intheeventofthe
thermalelementbeingactivated,therelaywillde-activate,
cuttingpowertotheprotectedcircuitandthefaultLEDwill
illuminate.
