It contains a complete 12-bit capacitor-based, successive approximation register • No External Calibration Resistors Required (SAR) A/D converter with sample-and-hold (S/H), • Single 5-V Analog Supply: clock, reference, and serial data interface. The – 32.5-mW Max Power Dissipation converter can be configured for a variety of input ranges including ±10 V, ±5 V, 0 V to 10 V, and 0.5 V – 50- µW Max Power-Down Mode to 4.5 V. A high-impedance, 0.3-V to 2.8-V input is • SPI™-Compatible Serial Port up to 20MHz, also available with input impedance greater than 10 with Master/Slave Feature M Ω. For most input ranges, the input voltage can • Global CONV and 3-Stated Bus for Multi-Chip swing to 25 V or –25 V without damage to the Simultaneous S/H Operation converter. • Pin-Compatible with ADS7812 and 16-Bit An SPI-compatible serial interface allows data to be ADS7813/8513 synchronized to an internal or external clock.
